| Jamie Day
Star Maker is thrilled to announce Miss Jamie Day as a new studio manager and also continuing staff teacher for her seventh year for our recreational and competitive classes. She boasts coaching and choreographing show twirls and dance routines for students who have won regional and national competitions, receiving the top teacher prize for choreography for "Mini Miss Superstar" at the Star Systems Regional Championships in 2001 with subsequent awards at Show stopper nationals Her student's accomplishments in baton on the national level include Miss Majorette of America winners and national champions in all aspects of America's Youth On Parade.
Jamie has been dancing and twirling for sixteen years, at an advanced level
member of the Entertainers since age nine, accumulating state, regional and national
titles in baton and dance. In 2000, she won advanced senior state titles in solo and strut
including National World Corps Princess, National World Two Baton, National World
Color Guard and National World Duet with partner, Krista Salerno. As captain of
EBDC, Jamie led the corps to win Junior Parade Corps and National/World Flag Corps.
As a soloist, she won national titles in dance, pompom and flag and represented New
Jersey as Miss Majorette. A t Somerville High School, she participated in gymnastics and was honored as Somerset County Gymnast of the Year in 1999. With her background, she adds to the curriculum of the International Gymnastics School in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania as an instructor. Jamie is a graduate with high honors from East Stroudsburg University. Her home is in Branchburg with mom Debbie and dad Jim, her sister and brother.
Jamie wants her students to "learn the techniques of dance and baton sprinkled with enjoyment and fun as well as to understand that stage presence is needed to perform well."
