The Entertainers Baton and Dance Company is a non-profit organization dedicated to youth
performance in Baton Twirling and all phases of Dance. The group, ages 6-24, performs throughout
Central New Jersey and competes locally, on the State, Regional, and National level.
The Entertainers boasts 30 years of excellence this season.
The Entertainers was founded in 1975 by Leesa Bonnell-Csolak and Mary Bonnell in Branchburg.
The Entertainers is directed by Leesa Bonnell-Csolak of Raritan Township with Assistant Director
and Ballet Mistress Jerri Brown of Hopatcong. Leesa is the Director and Owner of the Star Maker
School of the Performing Arts at the Cinema Plaza. There the studio provides a home base for the
championship kids. Jamie Day, of Branchburg also trains the championship performers and is studio
manager.
The Entertainers have performed at the 1982 World's Fair in Tennessee, at the Julliard School of
Music, NYC, for bowl games, Net's Halftimes, 76er's Halftimes, in the former Soviet Union, Disney
World and Universal Studios Florida.
The Entertainers have begun a scholarship program for students in need; for youth who show potential
in baton twirling and/or dance. A series of master classes are being offered to raise money for
the program and to allow our young dancers to experience the training of master teachers from NYC
and Philadelphia. Donations are accepted at any time to The Entertainers Scholarship Fund through
the Entertainers Baton and Dance Company Association.
